What is Revelian Cognify?
Game-based assessment
Cognify replaces the traditional aptitude test with short mini-games that measure problem-solving, numerical reasoning and verbal knowledge as you play.
Now part of Criteria Corp
Revelian was acquired by Criteria Corp. Cognify and its companion Emotify test are used by employers across Australia, the UK and the US.
Practice makes a difference
Familiarity with each game and its time pressure reduces anxiety and helps you perform closer to your true cognitive ability on the day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which games are in the Cognify assessment?
Cognify includes six mini-games: Short Cuts and Grid Lock (problem-solving), Resemble (abstract reasoning), Numbubbles and Tally Up (numerical reasoning) and Proof It (verbal knowledge). Emotify is a separate emotional-intelligence assessment often used alongside it.
How long does the Cognify assessment take?
Cognify usually takes around 20-30 minutes in total. Each mini-game is short and timed, so quick, accurate thinking matters. Practising the individual games first helps you use that time well.
What does the Short Cuts game measure?
Short Cuts measures problem-solving and planning. You route a marble to a target by building an efficient path, and your score reflects both whether you solve it and how close you get to the optimal route.
What does the Resemble game measure?
Resemble is modelled on Raven’s Progressive Matrices and measures abstract reasoning and fluid intelligence - the single strongest predictor of learning speed. You complete a matrix by working out the underlying pattern.
Is Emotify part of Cognify?
Emotify is a separate Revelian product that measures emotional intelligence by asking you to identify emotions from facial expressions. It is frequently used together with Cognify, which is why we include it here.
